How we build a portfolio

We start with your goal, horizon and risk tolerance. From there we set an allocation across cash, fixed income, local equities and global ETFs. Every holding has a reason and an exit rule. We rebalance on a schedule rather than on headlines.

Instruments we cover

NSE listed equities, Kenyan treasury bills and bonds, money market funds, SACCO deposits, global index ETFs and selected property exposure. We explain the tax and liquidity profile of each before you commit capital.

Risk profiles

Conservative portfolios lean on bills, bonds and money market funds. Balanced portfolios split between fixed income and equities. Growth portfolios weight equities and ETFs and accept larger drawdowns for a longer horizon.

Reviews and reporting

Portfolios are reviewed quarterly. You get a written note covering performance, contributions, allocation drift and any change we recommend. Members can also track projections with the free investment calculator in the toolkit.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum amount to start investing?

You can start a disciplined plan with KES 5,000 a month. Advisory adds most value once the monthly surplus is stable rather than at a fixed portfolio size.

Do you hold or manage my money?

No. You open accounts in your own name with your broker, bank or fund manager. We advise, you transact and you keep full control.

Are NSE stocks better than global ETFs?

Neither wins outright. Most Kenyan investors do best with both, because local equities carry currency and concentration risk that global ETFs offset.
